The internet in my house keeps dropping out randomly or slowing down to a turtle pace. The computer keeps sending the message that two of our devices have the same IP address. We just swapped the router 3-4 months ago for a cisco linkseys e3200. The internet started dropping out 2 months ago and has become more and more frequent. Do you think the router could be going bad? We got the router off of ebay so it was used.

Solution
This issue seems to be an IP conflict and WiFi channel problem. All you need to do is just do the following things first:

Open your router configuration setup in your web browser

Enter username and password if prompted

Change the starting IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 or vice versa

Check if your DNS are fixed or static, in any case make the dynamic

Goto the wireless section and change your broadcasting channel make it
extreme first or last otherwise select any middle one i.e. "6".

Hopefully this shall solve your problem without changing the router.

Thanks & Regards,

The internet still drops out. Another thing is that the internet seems to drop out more frequently as more devices connect to the network. I already updated the firmware on the router so its not that.
