Here's what's going down. If I get either of these bad boys they'll be paired with my Gtx 570 and possibly Gtx 760 in the future. I live near a microcenter and can either get a 4670k with a meh motherboard, or an 8350 with a Pimpn motherboard. Well not totally pimping but you'll see the difference. I have a budget for this so I'm not spending 300 for these. Only $250. The 8350 is cheaper but I don't want to miss out on performance for $10.
The Motherboard with the 8350 would be a "M5A97 R2"
It's pretty good.
The mobo with the 4670k would be a "Z87-G41" yes that is a one. So what do you think? I know they're both fully capable CPUs, however if one would increase my fps in say Bf3 and then bf4 obviously, please let me know.

Get the intel setup. Better performance, upgrade option down the line. It is perfect IMO

Go to microcenter.com , choose your store, add 4670K to the shopping cart, add any z87 board that you desire, that board will receive the full discount. I did this with mine and my MSI G45 Z87<--$100

I Think the AMD might be the better option here. the FX-8350 is a very fast cpu thanks to it's 8 cores and looks to be the better mother board. the ASUS M5A97 R2 has a better onboard sound, more usb port to connect up what ever you have. and the over all different in real world between the i5 and fx-8350 is not much at all. plus if you pair the amd with a nice cooler and psu later you can overclock is very easily.

So for me it's what motherboard is better :)

If you have to go cheap, try and an ASUS.

As long as the "meh' mobo has a Z87 chipset to allow you to OC the i5-4670k, then I would go with "meh"...

I would get an FX 8320 and the sexy Mobo over the i5 4670k with a meh motherboard. Buying an 8350 is a waste of money when an 8320 is the same chip with a lower multiplier setting.

I have no intentions of overclocking. I just want good performance for gaming. That's really it. I have an i5-760 , so for gaming I need something on par with a 3570 for gaming. And for gaming the 8350 should be boss enough.

I don't count setting the multiplier of the 8320 to that of an 8350 true overclocking. All you are doing is saving yourself $30-40 to do something for yourself instead of AMD doing it for you.

Wait that's it? Like that is all?

Yes that is all you need to do to make an FX 8320 run at the same speed as an FX 8350. They are unlocked multiplier chips of the same family of CPU's.

If you are not going to overclock, then you might as well save a few dollars and buy the i5-4670 instead of the "k" model.

Additionally, if you are not going to overclock, then I recommend Intel CPUs. According to Newegg, the price difference between the i5-4670 and the FX-8350 is only $10 ($209.99 vs $199.99). The i5's higher IPC, and thus higher performance is definitely worth spending the extra $10.

AMD's FX-8350 is only worth it if you plan on overclocking. While the FX has 8 core compared to the i5's 4 cores, many benchmarks have shown that games perform better with the i5. Additionally, while people are arguing that AMD's dominance in the console industry will mean games will run better on AMD CPUs, that may not actually be the case for several years.

I believe I'm just going to get the 8350. From many places I see that it performs on par with i5-3570k if not better in games. Also I do record and render. I currently have an i5-760. It is a pain To oc. The 8350 performs identical in bf3. And the mobo is cheaper. Plus if I want to OC I have the option. The only game it might be hindered in, is Planetside 2, then again it's horribly optimized. I'm only upgrading the cpu for BF4. I could get the I5-4670k for $199. And a mobo. If more comes through, I'll consider it, however many people don't give enough credit to the 8350. I could give a shit less about benchmarks. I care about real game performance.

What I meant is I could get a i6-4670k for $199 but the motherboard is seperate and for a decent motherboard for intel. Prices are Ridiculous.

That $200 CPU and be paired with ANY compatible MOBO as long as your local Microcenter has it in stock.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE FROM THE 4 THEY OFFER!!!!

I know these deals are in store pick up only. But will it only show the final price at the store? I'm not buying till late September or something but when I added either the 4670k or the 3570k and added multiple mobos. (Obviously not all at the same time) it never displayed a discount. So will the final price only be truly showed when I go to the store? And would say the $55 discount work on all 4670k boards?

Ok, discount works on all boards, even AMD route even for APUs.
First off, select Your location and store.
Add 4670k to shopping cart.
Browse 1150 mobos.
Select desired mobo.
Proceed to shopping cart for discounted + tax price.

You should be able to see the discount price while online. Be sure to pick your local store so you can know the final price.

I'm using the 8350. Get the intel. the only ones saying try the amd is because they aren't suffering from one right now :D  innocently ofcourse, because x8 cores will obviously seem appealing. the i7 4770k haswell in my laptop lol's at my amd 8350 lol. Wish i could get rid of it now instead of next month.
