hi all. a little out of touch as the last time I assembled my own system was in 2007! I am thinking about buying the Silverstone strider essential 400w psu to power my budget desktop. is it good enough for powering:
pentium g2120
apacer 4gb ddr3 1600mhz
old maxtor 160gb hdd
intel 80gb ssd
geforce 8600gt
asrock h61m v3 mb
?
I do not intend to add anymore fans or drives. However I do plan to upgrade to a radeon 7750 or gtx 650. the fastest card I may upgrade to would probably be a 7790.

I do not play any games like skyrim, bf3 or crysis. only starcraft 2, cnc, diablo3, wow, torchlight2 and similar games. A 7750 should be more than sufficient for these games at 720p right?

I chose the g2120 as I hardly do any encoding or video editing and only play games occasionally.

thanks.

I think it should be sufficient. 450W definitely would be a little more comfortable, but that's my view.

Just make sure the PSU is 80+ certified.

Thanks. I decided to get the Corsair VS450W instead, even though it isn't 80+ certified like the Strider. It has some decent reviews and so far I am very happy with it.
