Would you suggest running a Gigabyte 7850 on an AMD A10-5800K processor?

I am looking to upgrade my rig, I have a very basic set up right now.

Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Processor: AMD A10-5800K Trinity 3.8GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 7660D AD580KWOHJBOX
RAM: 4GB PNY 240 Pin DDR3
Power Supply: 400W Rosewill (Came with the case)

I know I need to upgrade my Power Supply to at least 500W, will probably get a 650W. And I want to upgrade my RAM but Idk if it is necessary right now.

I was wondering if I could run a Gigabyte R7850 and have it work with my A10 processor?
If not, I would appreciate any suggestions on this issue.

You mainly have 2 upgrade options for $300. Prices I'll indicated below are from Newegg.com

First is:
128GB SSD for $100 (I assume you already have a hard drive? If not, install the OS here, and few games that you'll play the most.)
1x4GB PNY RAM for $65 (There are several PNY RAMs, but I picked the 65$ one. You should get the exact RAM you have right now)
ASUS HD 7790 for $130 (This is probably the best card for this price range right now. The 7850 is a little bit faster than this)

Second:
Assuming you already have a mechanical...

It would work bro. When the iGPU is disabled, you can OC the a10 at great heights. lol But seriously, yes you can. And it would not bottleneck that much. A lot of intel fanboys will say that it would bottleneck any card, but don't believe them. There's a chart here somewhere that shows that the a10 5800k worked even great with the 680.

Your processor is pretty capable already, and I see no problem pairing it with a 7850. But if I were you, I should be getting the latest versions of the 7850 not the ones that came out during the launch of this series. Preferably by Sapphire (the Dual-X variant) that came out late last year or early this year. But that's just me.

I'm more concerned with your PSU. If you're on a budget, get the Corsair CX500M modular variant or CX600 non-modular one. Corsair is a good brand name, and they're reputable for making tough, reliable PSUs.

What I like about AMD A10-X800K is that if you don't have the money for a dedicated graphics card, you can have the whole build without it. You can run the intergrated graphics card and when you saved up money for, let's say, Radeon HD 7870, you can disable the intergrated graphics card (Which reduces the temperature alot and it gives big overclocking headroom) and add it into your PCI-E x16 slot and overclock AMD A10-X800K and it will be stable even when overclocked to 4.5GHz. It won't bottleneck Radeon HD 7870 when overclocked to 4.5GHz, not at all actually. If you're going to add Radeon HD 7850, disable the iGPU, overclock to 4.2-4.5GHz and start gaming! But you need something like a aftermarket cooler, like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099
Pick whichever solution is right for you.

XFX DD HD 7950 3GB is $200 after rebate :)

The OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W is $30 after rebate and promo code -- got a great review from Hardware Secrets. Modular cables but it's two 12v rails - they are 21.5A / 258W (which should more than handle your CPU and video card)

Thanks all, I was told that I should just start from scratch. I figured something was shady. But should I upgrade my ram now or later? I'm on a budget of $300 for everything. Any help is appreciated.

Assuming you already have a mechanical hard drive, get a:
Sapphire HD 7950 for $240 (which is way better than the original 7850 you would like to have), and a
1x4GB PNY RAM for $65

Also, another thing to note. Is your current RAM a single 4gb stick? Or 2x2GB sticks? If your going to upgrade, you should get the same brand/speed as much as possible for consistency. So if you have a single 4gb stick right now, get another single 4gb stick. If you're currently running on 2x2GB sticks, get another 2x2GB sticks.
