hi um i currently just built a gaming pc and installed windows and i installed the amd catalyst and my resolution is 1080p and its not filling my monitor screen i need help btw im a newb. :3

Did you connect your monitor via DVI, Displayport or HDMI ?
I was having some issues with HDMI that i needed to adjust the settings from the catalyst control center to adjust the displayed size on the screen. Anyway look into the catalyst control center, it should be pretty easy to find there and the play with the settings.
