So recently I've begon building my new computer. One of the parts I'm still missing is a replacement for my Sennheiser headset. Now originally I was looking at a Corsair Vengeance 1500, Razer Carcharias, Steelseries Siberia v2, CM Storm Sirus 5.1 or maybe one of the expensive Sennheiser models (though thats probably outside of my budget).
That was until I red from some audio enthusiasts that all those gaming headsets are actually garbage and that you should really get a headphone from smaller brands and a clip-on mic. Now those brands aren't really available in the Netherlands and I really don't like the idea of a clip-on mic.
What I want is a headset with a way to easily adjust the volume and mute my mic; it's what if been using for years and what I really like. That said I don't want to pay for a bad product and am now at a loss on what I should get.
Is there such a think as a Circumaural, Open headset that doesn't set me back 150-200€+ ? Or is there just a decent headset out there? Or should I just stop listening to the audio enthusiasts and buy something branded "gaming"?
