Hi guy's

I've always used AMD so this is my first Intel, what fan is good to use as I'll be OC'ing.

I don't want an expensive one but not cheap rubbish either.

What's good?

Also something around the 6" tall mark.

Both of these will cool as good as the seidon or h60 for less that half the cost.

You could go watercooled instead. It's quieter and keeps other components cooler as you're not venting hot air all over them and require less case fans. Also it's a hell of alot better if you want to be transporting a rig as you don't want a massive weight only supported by the thin motherboard bumping around.

Not moving it around.

Probably going to stick with a fan I hear the basic Corsair water coolers aren't really any better and that you need a dual water set up to get a real difference, not going to do all that.

Oh nice one.

How much of an OC is it letting you get away with? I'm hoping for 4.1 - 4.2 Ghz? is that likely with the Hyper 212 EVO?

Using the OC Genie on my board gave me 4.2, which the Hyper 212 Evo handled like a champ - in push/pull with 2 AeroCool Shark 120mm fans....It even handled 4.4ghz rather well, but my temps were a bit on the high side when stressing it....Make sure you use a good thermal compound and you should be set, Shin Etsu is what I'm using.... :)

I'm good for height wise up to 6.4" really so the Evo would be fine.

Is it worth considering the Corsair H60 or the Cooler Master Seidon 120mm?

They are pretty tidy, any issues or maintenance to worry about or am I better off just going for the Hyper Evo?

I know it sounds silly but half the reason I was eyeing up a H60 is that they look cool and provide lots of space.

My worry and why I'm leaning toward an 212 Evo is because I've heard some reviews say the H60 can be loud, and also I'll have to fath around with the structure of my build i.e take off the exhaust fan etc.

While with the Evo I know exactly what I'm doing with it and its just fit and go, plus its half the price.

Does any one think for long term use its worth getting the H60 over the Evo 212?

I'm pretty stuck on these two atm.

Just a quick one, if I did buy a H60 would I be able to use my exhaust chassis fan and attach that to the radiator over the stock corsair fan because I heard it as pretty noisy on high RPM?

My case exhaust fan is on 100% and very quiet.

You should be able to use your existing exhaust fan, as long as it's the same size as the stock H60 fan. Though setting the H60 as exhaust might not be the most efficient option, as it will have all of the heat from your case flowing through it. You can always change how it is installed, so you can see what works best for your particular situation.

For a cheap liquid cooling set-up, you might consider looking into the Antec Kuhler 620, it's not much more expensive than the 212 Evo and from what I've seen so far (about a week so far), this closed loop system puts in some serious work. I have 2xAerocool Shark 120mm fans on it in a Push/Pull setup, and it stayed cool, even with my 4670k at 4.6ghz....Also, I'm using Shin-Etsu X23-7783D as the thermal compound....
