Will this power supply be enough for now?

So I know the PC I'm building will run. But today I'm placing an order for the motherboard and CPU because I don't have the money for all the pieces yet. But if I were to take the power supply from my old HP, and the RAM (which is compatible) would it be enough to power it without running into problems or power spikes that will kill my components?

SPECS:
MB: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: FX-6300
PSU I currently have bestec atx 300 12z (300w)
RAM: 3 sticks of 512mb PC 3200u DDR

EDIT oh and a Radeon x300 until I get the rest of the components

(When it's complete)
(What I plan to build.)
MB: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: FX 6300 (MB and CPU combo $275 after shipping and tax)
RAM:$74.29 Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
HD: $76.11 Seagate 500GB 7200 RPM
Case: $89.99 CM Storm Enforce
PSU: $128.99 Antec 900W continuous power PSU
GPU: $254.99 EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

(I plan to SLI and O.C is why I got so much power)

Your ram is not compatible btw. The specs sound like DDR1 specs and your new mobo uses DDR3.

While the PSU 'might' be enough, you are probably better off waiting, although the video card will probably work for you.

So next on your list should be memory and PSU. 2x2GB will do if you are tight on money and getting a decent antec, corsair, seasonic or xfx psu will be a good accompliment to the build.

It should run, but I personally would spring for a 400+ PSU when you have the money. But this should run fine for now.

Radeon X300 only uses 50W on a LOAD, besides your FX-6300 that will use 163W on a LOAD. Let's not count RAM and other components such as HDD because they wouldn't use 100W all together lol..

So, of course you should be fine! Go for it!

Oh, I forgot.. Your mobo uses DDR3 and the ram you're trying to use is DDR1 so it won't really be compatible. For you needs so far, you only need new RAM sticks and PSU. Your CPU is just fine, get a 350-400 PSU though, whatever fits your budget. Be more specific with your Desktop, and I'll suggest you a PSU
