Hallo everyone.
Just finished my new build a few hours ago. i installed win on the ssd made all windows updates, drivers bla bla....and it was time for overclock! After a lot of reading etc i managed very easy to reach a rock stable cpu oc at 4.3ghz on my core i7 3770k with corsair h100i on pull push way keeping my full load temps after 6 hours of prime95 at the lows 65 degrees. since i came from an intel core2duo E7600 the noticeacle perfomance increase is insane!!
since i see there is plenty of rare power on the cpu i went next to my gpu. I have a sapphire hd 7970 3gb.; not the oc version cuz i believed there is no need to pay more for something you can do alone. On my case i have 2x120mm corsair fans at 2350rpm and and another one on the rear side of the case. the push pull works very well keeping my case cool. An experienced user and not a newbie like me can do a lot more than i do on this rig. So how do i over clock me gpu after all?
I have sapphire trixx and 3dmark11 to test the stock perfomance. on another thread i read that ppl goes mostly around 1250 core clock/1700 mem clock while staying below 1.25v and 85 degrees.
well i only managed to run the 3dmark11 at stock 1.075v/925 gpu clock/1375 mem clock.

Can some1 plz take me by the hand and get me further so i can make my gpu perfomance higher???

tnx you all!!!

Leave the memory clock at stock for now. 1.256 is the stick voltage for the ghz edition so it will get you in the ballpark. It shouldnt be failing
the oc/vapor x i think has a better phase design but i could be wrong. to get 1050 clock speed you would need to run the 1.256 voltage. You should be able to boost the memory to 1500 which is stock for both as well but id leave that alone for now. Use the trixx utility to raise the voltage and clocks.

1.3 is max voltage and you can run up to about 1300 mhz

Isnt that much to raise my volts from 1.075 to 1.256 just for 125 gpu core clock speed? or its fine? i am hopping for a mild noticable increase no need to reach the maximum 1300.... also do you know what is the Board Power Li? is to 0 by default.
