Someone told me maybe I should SLI with 2 gtx760 instead of 1 gtx770
Both below are EVGA GeForce SC ACX 2GB:
Price of 1 gtx770 is $500AUD. of 1 gtx760 is $329AUD. (so $660 for 2)
Which do you think I should go with?

Solution

It depends. If you're doing 1080p gaming, the 770 will do you just fine. Plus you can always SLI it in future. The GTX 760 is good, but 1 card will always come with less problems in the end. If you're doing 1440p, then the GTX 760 2-way SLI is probably the more sound option. If you're doing multi-monitor 5760x1080, then you'll actually want to try an AMD Radeon HD 7950 and then, once AMD corrects their drivers probably around the end of September in order to work out the Crossfire bugs, Crossfire that 7950.

But really, I assume you're going for 1080p gaming so trust me the GTX 770 will be more than enough. The extra $150 you're contemplating spending is really just to be able to do Ultra at 1080p 60fps at 2x SSAA vs Ultra at 1080p 60fps with 0x SSAA for the most demanding games.

UPDATE: By the way, you should go for the Gigabyte Windforce Edition of the GTX 770 if possible. It has a higher base and boost clock than the EVGA 770 and it has a great 3 fan cooling system preinstalled on it for the same price.

Solution
One GTX770. More stability, smoother performance, cooler temps, lower power requirements. In a SLi situation not everything will take care of it and its generally a better investment to get a single card over two. Plus it gives you some money to hang onto for a future upgrade or future purchase of something else.
