Finally would like to replace my low end NVS 285 card with the GTX 460 which is much better than the best of what was "high end" back when the 690 was new. Am I in for any surprises or trouble? I do have an AJA Xena HDSDI capture card installed....Thanks!

Solution
Make sure you have a sufficient power supply. Also, if you're buying the card new, its probably not worth it. Being that the Precision was an old workstation, you should have ample power.

thanks!, I found a new Dell gtx 460 for $85. My 690 is a dual quad Xeon (2.66ghz x 8 cores) with 12 gb of ram...and I have the system drive in a removable tray so I can go from Windows 7 Ult 64 bit back to Win XP 32 bit when needed...and I do need to sometimes!
