Hello everyone!

Just putting the finishing touches to my latest build, before you start yes it's a bit of an e-peen build but ya know, why not :p

One thing I'm really not sure about is how to set up my fans, as never installed a water cooler before, and I will also have quite a few fans!

I have heard corsair link is buggy, and also not sure if a fan controller will be messy with wires everywhere.

Just after suggestions of how you would do it please! Or anything that works for you, the build is as follows:

600t case
Maximus extreme vi
I7 4770k
H100i
250gb SSD
3tb HD
GTX Titan
Creative titanium HD
32gb ram (still undecided)
Corsair HX 850 (also undecided, but this is an option)

I have the h100 in a pull configuration with 2 sp 120's, top of my case as exhaust. Then the normal rear fan is intake with an AF 120, and an additional 4xAF120 in side of case as intake, and also stock 200m front fan as intake.

ALSO:

Windows 7 or 8?

I can't decide if I should update or not

pros: Would like to be up to date with newer OS's
cons: maybe compatibility?

U can go ahead and use corsair link it'll give more control than a fan controller as its made by corsair lol, also u have a RoG motherboard that has FanXpert on it which can control every fan manually or with a preset even 3pin fans. ASUS has great included software for their boards.

For the cooler Id say best to minimize wiring use a fan splitter than connects two fans as one since u want all fans running at similar speeds, less wires is best even though ur board should have quite a bit of headers on it or connect each individually, again I think using the included software will be easier than buying a fan controller.

I like the corsair HX series would prefer fully modular but good cost for what ur getting.

I again prefer Win7, I...

I again prefer Win7, I consider 8 to be vista 2.0, once u add the start button back with a program like startisback, u get basically win7 start button and will boot to desktop. For gaming i saw performance to be slightly better on Win8. Ur getting a z87 board which is win8 certified and all modern hardware so compatibility wont be an issue.

Personally if i got a pc with Win8 on i would use and get use to it, but currently using 7 im not switching any time soon.
