[Power Supply][Motherboard] What Is A Dual EPS And Do I Have One?

Okay, so about a week ago, I posted on the forum asking for a computer build. I got some responses and went with this build:

Now I'm in the middle of installing it and I have this 8-pin connector near the CPU slot and according to the manual: "if your system requires Dual EPS + 12V connectors, connect the 8-pin connector to the mainboard." I don't know what a dual EPS is, as this is the first time I build my own PC.

Now does this build rely on a dual EPS + 12V? or can I just leave that connector slot empty?

Solution
For your manual's intents, yes you have a "dual EPS" so you'll use the 4+4 pin connector (which join together to make an 8 pin) which will fit nicely in the 8 pin connector on the motherboard. Do not use a 6+2 pin connector or any that say PCI-E, they will not work there
note: that's supplying power to the CPU - you'll need something there

Okay, the problem with that is that the 8-pin connector is as follows:
Top row: square, non-square,non-square,square
bottom row: non-square, square, square, non-square

But the only 4+4 Pin connector we have does match that shape. Does it have to match that shape? or will it work even if it doesn't match up?

Update: Never mind, tried it out even when the shapes didn't match and it worked. Thanks for the help.
