Samsung TV bought in April 2011, direct connection to home network via switch and connected to web via DSL. Samsung internet.tv worked great until yesterday, 27 August 2013. Now it is updating everytime I turn on the Internet and Apps. It updates 13 App's everytime I turn on the internet app. Any thoughts out in answer land?

I just chatted with a Samsung tech. This is a bit extreme but it worked for me. A complete TV reset to factory defaults, then setup all your apps again and the problem is gone for me. You can perform the reset by turning your tv on then holding down the EXIT button on your remote for 15 seconds. Click OK to the confirmation, then the tv will shut off. Turn it back on and follow the setup instructions on screen.

After reinstalling Netflix and Pandora they need to be reactivated, kind of a pain but its better than that service update screen coming on every time! Again there's probably a more elegant solution but this one worked for me tonight.

Strange. We're in exactly the same situation. Earlier this week, Internet@TV starting updating every [freaking] time that we open it. Every app, every time. Odd that the same started for you this week as well. Samsung must have updated something and messed it up, but isn't admitting it or hasn't fixed it yet.

Same exact issue happening here. Samsung TV from 2010, always worked great, now it updates 13 apps every time I turn on the internet. Also it deletes youtube every time I reinstall it. Any way to fix without the full reset?

Well now ... I am having the same problem. My work around was to delete every app I could except for NetFlix - that is the only one I use on a regular basis. However, Pandora, HBO GO, and Explorer 3D still update every time and I DON"T EVEN HAVE THOSE APPS. They show up in the 'recommended' part of the app screen, but the only app I have installed now is NetFlix. It can't be a coincidence that we are all having the same problem around the same time.

Same issue here. Same 13 apps. This is on a 2010 PN50C7000 plasma. I have some custom value settings in my video and I would hate to do a reset. Guess I'll delete the apps besides Netflix and hope it gets solved with a firmware update.

Boo on Samsung.

FWIW, I do warranty service on HDTV sets and I also do installations on the side. I installed a new Samsung LED Internet last week for a customer and as much as I love my 2010 Sammy plasma, I would not touch another Samsung with a 10-ft pole. Nasty-looking soap-opera effect could not be removed to my satisfaction by turning the smooth motion off and the apps section is way more complicated than it needs to be.

I too have the same exact issue. Fed up every time TV is updating all my applications. I still have to call Samsung, loaded with lot of personal work. This is an additional burden specially in the long week end. Samsung should fix this immediately.

Hello, the Samsung TV UE46B7050, I bought ca 3 years ago, has same problem. I can not search anything. The message is "file not found". Tried a a suggestion offerd by Mike but no succes. I contacted Samsung support in Sweden (where I live) but the person at the other end could not offer any solution except to check your internt connection. Any other suggestion will be highly appreciated. I paid a lot for this TV. Jan Glyco
