Just put together a cheap desktop for a friend, but I can't get any video out of it. It boots up fine, case/cpu fans are spinning and my keyboard responds as well. I get nothing on my monitor using vga and hdmi. I'm using the onboard video.
I've gone through the system wont boot checklist, which is just a bunch of things I've already checked or don't apply to the situation. I don't get any indication of whats wrong since this case has no speaker, and the motherboard no lights. It seems as though everything is working properly so I have trouble knowing where to begin.

Specs:
ASRock Z75 Pro3
Kingston 4GB KVR16N11H/4
Intel Core i5-3350P
ENERMAX NAXN ENP350AST 350W
Western Digital WD Green WD5000AZRX
LG 24X DVD Burner

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Solution
If the CPU not getting hot then the eight or four pin power plug on the edge of the mb not plugged in or the power supply not outputting te 12v to power the system.

Sorry to leave this thread idle for so long, I have crazy work hours. I've made a bit of a discovery, the cpu, when touched, isnt hot at all. I left the system running for 5 minutes, took the heatsink off and touched it without screaming in pain. So now I'm pretty sure I was sent a dead processor. But would the system even start, without a post, in the first place if theres no cpu detected?
