Hi,
So I'm planning a FX-6300 build, and I'm on a tight budget, so I've selected the ASUS M5A78L-M/U3
One of the main reason's I chose this board was because it supports upto 140W CPU's. I'm gonna overclock my 95W chip to 4.1GHz, and I've roughly estimated that the power draw would be around 125W ( 6th semester VLSI equation ).
Will the motherboard hold good and supply power under full load with no issues, or is there any major flaw in my assumption? I'm not sure how many phases this motherboard supports, but I've read that 4+1 should be more than sufficient at <125 Watts.
Also does the old 780G chipset cause any issues / performance reduction with the latest Vishera based FX chips?
