Hi,

This is my second PC build and I need some advice on my components. I've been mixing and matching for the last couple of months now and I really need to make an educated decision.

Here is what I have so far:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($484.95 @ Computer Lounge)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($241.50 @ Aquila Technology)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($329.95 @ Computer Lounge)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($246.00 @ Paradigm PCs)
Storage: Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($305.00 @ Paradigm PCs)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($135.00 @ PC Force)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card ($1139.00 @ PC Force)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($218.50 @ PB Technologies)
Power Supply: Corsair 860W 80 PLUS Platinum Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($389.85 @ PB Technologies)
Optical Drive: LG CH12LS28 Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer ($113.85 @ PB Technologies)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (32-bit) ($161.13 @ Ascent Technology)
Total: $3764.73

I am also going to add another GPU in either Crossfire or SLI.
I just don't know what card I should get. They all pretty much look the same...

Solution
Firstly, you have to upgrade to 64 bit windows if you want to use more than 4gb of your ram.

Secondly, if you want to sli a 780, you have to get another 780. If you get a worse perfoming card the higher end card will be forced to have the same performance as the lower end card.

Good luck :)

Change your OS to 64-bit, otherwise RAM beyond 4Gb is useless and you'd get a much more responsive system simply due to the fact that you could utilize all 16gb of RAM

Yeah, I know I need another 780 it's just I'm going to leave it for a bit. And thanks for letting me know about the 32 bit problem. I knew about it but I didn't notice I had selected the wrong one haha.

I've upgraded my list to involve some more expensive equipment. I got them because I'm looking for a "red and black" aesthetic.

This is the current list. Let me know...
