So this is my first build and I followed the instructions in the motherboard manual and when I went to power it boots and lights and fans turn on but the monitor stays blank. The DRAM_LED is solid red.

Here is what I have tried thanks to some threads i found here:
1. Hold DRAM LED till it blinks to try and get the ram to work
2. Tried 1 Ram stick in each of the slots then the botton
3. Tried the other ram stick in each of the slots then the button
4. Tried a stick of ram from my other PC which is also DDR3 1600
5. I tried it without the video card and plugging into the motherboard and there is still no visual on the monitor(don't know what this had to do with DRAM LED but it was a suggestion to try out from another thread)

I have read other threads and the only solutions i seem to find are either not working for me or it was fixed by replacing the Motherboard

I followed this
PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about POST/boot/no video problems!:

still nothing.

Solution
Try taking the board outside the case and start it there with single RAM stick installed (make sure it is properly inserted) and monitor connected to the onboard.
Sometimes RAM modules need a bit more force to push them in the slot.
If still red DRAM led, then try reseating the CPU and check the CPU socket for bent pins.
