Liquid Cooling Question

Hello all, first time poster here.

I've just recently gotten around to fulfilling a long-time dream of mine, which is starting to build a gaming PC :bounce:!

The last time I did this, the Intel Pentium 4 was the baddest thing out there, so as you can imagine I'm pretty shell-shocked at how complicated things have gotten, or at least they seem that way to me :pt1cable:.

My first purchase was an Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz that came with this GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard, a sweet deal from Newegg.com.

I'm wanting to eventually crossfire two AMD Radeon 7970 Ghz Edition graphics cards, but I know I'm probably going to have to wait a month or so to purchase the 2nd card.

My question is, is liquid cooling worth it for both the CPU and the GPUs? If I can buy a good HSF and OC the CPU safely, I'd much rather do that. Also, If I choose to go the route of LC, would it be an absolute pain to add LC to the 2nd GPU a month later after I've already built the rest of the PC?

I don't think I know much of anything about liquid cooling, so some of the questions I asked might not make sense, but I thank you in advance for your responses! :)

Solution
It depends what worth you would get out of water-cooling.
On a pure value (performance per dollar) basis, lord no. If your after outright performance, then its the best you can get until your going into more unorthodox solutions. Aesthetics, its also fairly good if you drop the money on fittings and plan it out well.

It wouldnt be too difficult to sub in the new card provided you built the loop to accommodate it initially. If not then it will be a bit more of a painful process.

Thanks for the info! I might just go ahead and get some nice fans, and do a liquid cooling loop much later.
