I am experiencing a compatibility issue among the Gigabyte Z68MX-UD2H-B3 REV1.0 motherboard and the Patriot PV316G160C9K RAM.
I need plenty of RAM for high resolution renderings, and I wanted to max out the capability of my motherboard installing two of the 2x8GB kits indicated (4x8GB in total).
However, after installing the RAM, the system, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, has become unstable, with random BSOD and application crashes.

I run MemTest x86+ for around 6 hours, completing the whole test twice and it reported no errors at all.

Doing many experiments, I found out that my system is perfectly stable if I install only one PV316G160C9K kit at time (no matter which one of the two).
Right now I am running the machine with one PV316G160C9K kit installed, plus only one module of the second kit (3x8Gb, 24 Gb in total), and it is perfectly stable.

I have contacted the Patriot support, and their answer was to " try increasing the DRAM voltage to 1.65v. Because you are running the additional kit, it may require extra volts to run."
Since the RAM is sold as a 1.5V, and I would like not to perform such a overvolt if possible..

Does anybody has any idea how can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advace!

The problem seems to be solved.

The Gigabyte support replied me attaching me the version U1F of the BIOS. Apparently the official page of the product is no updated as it is not listed.

Well, as simple as it is, updating the BIOS did solve the problem.
