As the title suggests, I need to choose between GTX770(502$) and GTX780(730$)
The prices are based on what rates I'm getting in India.

The reason I'm confused is because I need to work on Photoshop, 3D softwares(maya, blender etc) and video editing(premiere pro, after effects etc). I want to know whether the extra vRAM will make that much of a difference.

This is the rest of my build:
i5 3570k
ASRock Extreme 4
8 GB Corsair single stick(will be adding one more later)
HX650 or TX850(still confused as HX650 is modular)
resolutuon - 1920x1080 ( but will be buying another screen to go for dual monitor set up)
sli- dont think so,depends on the prices

gaming is secondary for me but that matters. (what games i like to play..which ever i can get)

More about : gtx 770 gtx 780

Those softwares are CPU demanding, not GPU. An i7 CPU is definitely something you want if you like rendering and such.
The 780 beats the 770. But if you are willing to give 230$ more for the 780, then go for it. But there's not a great difference between those two GPU's. I'd personally get the 770, it's still a high end card and will be able to run anything on ultra without problems.

Edit: If you are getting two monitors, then you should get the 780 3GB.

The VRAM will come into play if you go dual monitors, for that you would want the 3GB 384bit GTX 780.
As for the PSU. Get the HX. It has a much higher efficiency. 80Plus Gold compared to 80Plus Bronze. You will happy you got the Modular one, no messy extra cables.

If you have no budget, heres the GTX 780 MSI Lightning

I ask why if are you getting the blower style GPU? rather than their triple fan version at the same price? Its also 200MHz OC.

hey man sorry for the late reply was busy......i kind of like the titan look   and where i stay i have lot of dust issues and as the reference design is fully covered so i thought it'll be a better choice for me, (the amp edition i dont like the look of the orange fans anyways :p ) as for clock speed i can over clock the reference one!! :D

and another question will hx650 be enough to oc 3570k(up to 4.4 or 4.5 ghz) and gtx 780 to match the gtx 780amp clocks ...i have 4x120mm led fans and will be getting a Cooler Master Hyper 212 or something in the same price range??

Your CPU might run a little warm but it will still be safe with the CM HYPER 212EVO.
650 should be enough.
