Hi all, I'm planning to build a new gaming pc and I'm trying to find windows 7 Ultimate FPP to buy. The problem is that I am an English speaker living in Russia. I can get all other versions EXCEPT Ultimate, but they are all in Russian. I am sick and tired of trying to get an answer from MS, so much so that I may give up and go back to my Mac for gaming.
Please help!!

Solution
AH YES!!! Haha sorry NOW i understand what you mean.

YEP! In the installation process of ANY windows version, you can choose the language, Russian is among them on Pro and Ultimate, I am not sure about the rest.
You can not however CHANGE the installation language on anything under Ultimate AFTER the initial install...

Basic answer : YES, you can buy Windows 7 from any where and make the language Russian.

Because I can only find the Russian language version. Ultimate, as you probably know, has 25 languages.

Sorry, maybe I didn't make myself very clear! The Russian MS store only sells Windows 8, and they are the only place I would shop online for MS products, in Russia. Any other site and the chances are it will be fake, or just blank DVDs in a nice box. The whole problem is the activation region. Basically, I just want to know if I buy a copy of Ultimate (or Pro) from the US, EU or even Japan, can I activate it in Russia? This is the question I can't get an answer to.

Actually I DO need it in English, NOT Russian language. But your basic answer is the same, I think. So just to clarify, I can buy Windows 7 Pro, and even if it says Russian language on the box, I can still choose English when I install it?

Correct. :)
