Ok so I'm making a new gaming rig. Sorry for making so many posts but I'm gonna post all my needs etc on this one too, this would be the final one :p. So basically I have a budget of around 25k INR. I already have a monitor, HDD and a dvd writer. I need a good CPU for around that money.
The pc would mainly be gaming but at times some other stuff to like normal surfing, using TALLY, watching movies/videos online or on the pc itself, etc.
The games I plan on playing are FIFA 13 and 14 when it comes out, BF3, Crysis 2, Payday 2, GTA SA and IV, Burnout, CS 1.6 and G.O, dead space, basically the whole origin humble bundle :p.
I need everything except a HDD and dvd writer.

I thought of this config
A motherboard of around 5k.
i3 3220 or FX6300, can't decide which one as some say the Intel is better and some say the FX.
I thought of Zotac GTx650 1GB GFX or the XFX/Sapphire 7770 as my graphic card.
About 4-6GB RAM.
Then the VIP 500W PSU.

That'd be all I guess. Please help me choose which processer and gfx to buy and do I need a cooler or not? And if you have a better gaming rig in my budget which is 25k INR, feel free to suggest. I'm not planning on upgrading it for the next 2-3 years minimum.

I don't know about where you are, but in the US and Canada, there is a sizable price difference between the FX-6300 and any of the Ivy Bridge i5's.

For the best gaming performance, go with the FX-6300 and use the money you save towards a better graphics card.

For the processor go for fx 6300 if you want to play games which require more than 4 cores like crysis 3 . Also it is unlocked and can be overclocked.
For PSU dont take that local brand psu . You may choose form crosair, seasonic and cooler master.
HD 7770 beats tx 650 very deadly. If possible try Ghz edition.
And dont bump posts. Its against the rule.

Sorry about that, I know it's against the rules but I need a config really soon. Are you sure about the FX6300 and not the Intel i3 3220? I heard that AMD processers aren't that good.

+1 on the 6300. The i3 is a dual core and as more and more games start using more cores, the i3 will not keep up.

Ignore those types of generalizations. It all depends on what you'll be doing with your PC and your budget. $180 or less, AMD CPU's are the way to go. $200+, Intel has the upper hand with AMD's 8350 as a strong competitor.

And YES, if you go with the 6300, you'll want to install a CPU cooler like the Cooler master hyper 212 evo or similar, even if you're not planning to over-clock. The stock coolers on both Intel and AMD CPU's are just sad. lol

Ok so FX6300 it is. Then about the Gfx, which one should I buy?
There are three of em, the 7770's. First one is of Sapphire, second XFX and third the one you mentioned of MSI. Which one should I buy? And how about the normal GTX650 2GB vs the 7770 1GB as the GTX650 2gb and the 1gb 7770 is pretty much the same price.
And will a 6GB ram be sufficient or should I go for a 8GB one?

If you can afford it, it's worth going for the 7850 2GB gddr5. If not, it really doesn't matter that much. All the 7770's will be very close in performance to each other. Just make sure the Vram is gddr5.

Your question about 6 or 8GB, are you referring to RAM? In that case, go for an 8GB dual-channel kit (2 x 4GB sticks).

You have confused yourself in hd 7770 manufacturers. Since xfx hd 7770 is coming with a game bundle. You may go for it if you want some free games.
Sapphire makes the best ati graphic cards. Its a strong choice. You should better consider this :

And a gtx 650 stands nowhere around hd 7770 even if you get gtx 650 2 gb oc. If you could increase your budget a bit. gtx 650 ti boost is best for you:

And please dont buy that local brand psu that you mentioned. Its a danger to your pc.You should get this one :
