Well.. for your budget, this looks like a solid build.

+ 8350 is better than 8320
+ 7970 is much better than the 7870
+ 990FX are ideal for overclocking. Much better than the 970 boards
+ Corsair 300R is a much better case than the Thermaltake one.
+ The 750W PSU from Seasonic is much better in terms of quality and would also ensure future upgradability
+ Corsair H100 is a beast for overclocking and is able to take the CPU past 4.8 GHz if overclocking

Hence definitely go for this build. This is a beast. You would love it.

Yes but you had a non overclockable CPU on a Z series chipset...And the Sapphire 7970 is much better, while cheaper.

8350 is not bad at all in gaming either. I know it is little less than the i5 but keep in mind these points :

1. The 8350 + 7970 can play any current games at ultra with good FPS at 1080p
2. Future games are sure to utilize more threads than 4 and this is where the extra cores of the 8350 would be a lot better.
3. Since it can play any current game without problem and it is almost sure to excel in future games which makes the 8350 a good choice as for now.

+ It can play any current gen game at FPS not noticable by the human eyes which is what matters.
+ It will play future games even better

Your rig is too expensive for me...
Because I live in australia, the prices are a bit expensive aswell.
Here look on this website, this is probably the most cheapest local store in Adelaide, South Australia.

Ok... This is what I have gone with...
intel i5-3570k
asrock z77 extreme4
seagate barracuda 1TB hdd
corsair vengance 16gb ram
cooler master haf x case
xfx pro series 650w 80+ bronze power supply

1. 16GB RAM is overkill for a gaming build. I mean you don't need more than 8GB RAM.
2. What Graphics Card are you going with? It is most important for gaming.

Anyways the build looks fantastic to me if you can afford it but I will reserve my final comment after knowing the Graphics Card you are going with because it matter most for gaming.
