Hello all. I am trying to do the following.

I want to hook an Xbox and pc up to the same computer monitor with hdmi. I will have a dual monitor set up. One will be just computer and the other will be the Xbox and computers other screens. So in a sense I want to be able have a dual screen set up with the option of having a Xbox displayed on the second screen. I was wondering if there was some sort of hdmi splitter or something that will keep the screen quality the same, while being able to split the use of the hdmi port. I also don't want to have to reach behind the screen and unplug the inputs in the back.

Thanks for all the input.

Solution
a splitter works differently from a switcher, the switcher takes multiple inputs to one output (obviously switched between one at a time) while the splitter takes a single input and gives it multiple outputs of the same input.

the one noidea posted should work perfectly fine, you can get larger switchers with more ports but they will cost you more.
