So my GPU recently died and i need a new one, my CPU have been somewhat "unstable" stock cooling combined with a bit too aggressive overclocking combined with a hot summer might have damaged it, don't really know, but still the CPU is old and i believe its about time to get a new one

So the question is i've got a GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ ATX and as far as i know there are various things that cause cause other pieces of hardware to bottleneck, the thing is i'm not informed enough to know which can actually cause that, but the GPU i'm interested in is a Radeon HD7950 3gb and a AMD FX-8350 CPU will either experience any kind of bottleneck with the chipset on my current motherboard? and if yes which motherboard should i get ?

Solution
It's 990FX you want for any FX 8XXX CPU. You can overclock much easier on the FX chipset than the 970. If you're not overclocking at all, it's fine, no bottleneck at all.

i'm not immediately planing on overclocking, mostly due to my resent bad experience with overclocking, i'm certanly what you would call a newbie when it comes to overclocking, never the less i would prefere not to spend about 100€ worth or so in my currency on a motherboard if i won't experience any kind of bottleneck issue on the GPU or CPU with my current motherboard.

Thanks for the quick answer =)
