Building a pc for my sis. Would this be compatible with each other?

Just building another gaming computer for my lil sis.

She'd like to be able to play battlefield 3 in a lower settings and Dota 2 and Dota 1 aswell. Those dota games won't be a problem. I'm just wondering if it'll be the best build for a 260$ gaming pc. I already have the video card & the rams and the case. Just need the processor, motherboard, and power supply, If you have any other suggestion what processor or motherboard should i buy on a 260$ budget feel free to say it. It would be really appreciated.

Here are the specs.

Processor: Intel Core i3-2120 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I32120
This is the only processor i find that has a great review i know theres intel 7 and 5 but, i'm really on a tight budget. I know theres amd in there aswell but, I think this one would do.

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77
My friend 850rocks recommended this to me since I dont want to overclock the pc.

Graphics Card: GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI HDCP
I will be probably upgrading it soon but for now. I'll stick with this. Search review through inter-web , I saw someone playing battlefield 3 on a lower settings.

Ram: Aeneon 1GB (1 x 1GB) DDR1,PC-2100,CL2.5,64x8,Non-ECC ICXX201-O Memory RAM - R799 (2pcs)
Ram: 1GB MEMORY 128X64 PC2700 333MHZ 2.5V NON ECC DDR 184 PIN DIMM (2pcs)

I figure I could use my 4pcs memory laying around the house. It's still in a working condition and also the asrock z77 pro3 lga 1155 intel z77 motherboard has 4 Oc or socket so I think i might be able to use those 4pcs 1gb rams, I'm just not sure if it'll be compatible.

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
This one is more than enough for her to use.

Coolmax 600-Watt 135mm Fan ATX Power Supply - PCI-E
I know the psu is abit high. Should i find a better branded psu and just go for the 500-watts?

Case: Presario sr1303wm ( I don't know what the exact name of that case but it looks like that)
You probably wondering why the hell would i use the old case. Well, I'm on a tight budget. Idk if it would still fit on the motherboard. Could you guys possible tell me if it wont?

Thank you very much for helping me build this gaming pc for my lil sis. Salamat ng madami!

More about building sis compatible
  1. So... You're planning on using DDR1 RAM in that build of hers? I'd say that's a no go.

Avoid Coolmax too. 500W would be enough. More than enough most likely.
  2. Sorry, i don't know much about computers. Got it, avoid coolmax and get a branded 500w instead. What ram would you recommend?
  3. $260 for a CPU, MB AND PSU? Plus you need DDR3 RAM. However, you CAN reuse the old case since it's probably micro ATX or ATX. The PSU might be proprietary so slight hammering or dremelling may be required.

If you need a hard drive as well... buy the cheapest 200+ GB SATA HDD you can find on ebay until you can afford a decent sized one.

Also in the future you're gonna wanna upgrade the GPU. I'd suggest cruising ebay for a $100 GTX560Ti.

Finally, if you absolutely positively have to have a bigger hard drive now there's always the ghetto fab used LLano athlon ii 651k for about $50 on ebay with an FM1 mother board for $30-40. It won't be as fast as the 750k but since FM2 is a dead socket anyways it's not like your updatability is harmed by going that route.

Now... if you love your sister to the tune of an extra $150 or so you can get the better GPU and a decent sized used hard drive.
  4. Not only is FM2 not a dead socket, but AMD is still developing APU's for it.

I stand corrected then. I thought since FM2+ was replacing FM2, it was a dead socket.
