specs: i5 3750k
GTX 770
8gb ram
extreme 4 mobo

hi i recently built this setup and am having lag issues within battlefield 3, most noticeably on the 64 player server / battlefield 2k maps. every single benchmark ive seen says my 770 is capable of very high fps and so it must be the cpu.

is there anything i can do to increase the cpu performance in game? or is it a possible bottleneck, of which i have very little knowledge.

Thanks for the help

It certainly shouldnt be bottlenecking... are all your drivers up to date?

Okay... Well, in that case there's a few other things that may be causing a problem. Such as ram speed, you want to make sure you have a minimum of 4gb running at 1333mhz or more. Another factor may be your psu, you need at least a 600w bronze psu with with single 12v rail. Do you you think any of these could be the problem? Also, what resolution are you playing at?

Why a single 12v rail exactly?

yes i have 8 gb of ram with a 1050 psw so i dont believe it's that, as i say its an issue with more players being in the server and i max everything at 1080p in the smaller servers and on other games

what antivirus are you using? and do you have many other applications running in the background?

also what kind of lag are you getting? internet lag or do you mean you are getting a low framerate?
