upgrade i5-2430m to i7-2630qm

i want to know will the gaming performance increase or will it be lowered (i know hd 3000 isnt best for gaming but thats all i got ) back to point notebook check says the i7-2630qm igpu clocks are 650-1100 mhz while the i5-2430m is 650-1200mhz so i will be lossing 100mhz in the igpu so im asking is it worth it is cpu power of the quadcore going boost so much that it wont matter that gpu clock is down or is it the opposite

You would be getting a better CPU with the i7 as it is a quad core and some games will make use of the extra cores , the video part won't matter because it's still HD 3000 at 650mhz. So your overall gaming performance will increase with the i7-2630qm.
