Hi guys,

I'm new here. My name is Bryan and I need help in building a new PC. This is the first time i'll be upgrading everything from scratch, so please forgive me if some of my questions seem dumb.

Following are the components that I have selected. Can you please advice me whether this is a good configuration, or should I add/remove anything from below?

Motherboard - ASUS H87-PRO

Processor - Intel 3.4 GHz LGA1150 Core i7-4770 (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)

RAM - Gskill Cl9 Sniper (2 x 4GB) DDR3 (is this better or should i go for Ripjaws X?)

Cabinet - Corsair Carbide 400R CPU

SMPS - Corsair GS700 700 Watts PSU

Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Thanks.

Regards,

Bryan M.

Solution
That GPU will not barely play games at lowest settings. The i7 won't help in anything besides video rendering or encoding. Because you aren't overclocking, don't buy a cooler. the stock one will work perfectly fine.

It's not gonna be pure gaming, will be working on it too, mainly a lot of excel files and adobe image editing, for which I need a high performance pc, hence the i7.
There wont be any overclocking so instead of the cooler, what do you suggest?
I have a ATI radeon HD 6570 2GB DDR3 graphics card from the old pc which I'll be installing in this one.
Main purpose - lot of excel, adobe files, little bit of gaming.
