so i got my components a week ago, built the pc but the 24 pin connector woudnt go all the way in. returned it for a new part and now again same issue. (corsair cx430 psu and asrock 960gm/us3 motherboard)

im not going to bother forcing it in because ive done that before and its very difficult to open it again. it does work for sure because i booted it up and it took me to the bios thing.

not just that but the thermal paste on the cpu melted and when dissassembling the parts again i had to yank the cpu fan out a bit because the paste had got em stuck together (would that of caused any damage). now theirs paste on both of them thats going to dry up im worried the cpu is going to stick onto the plastic casing ive put it back on and also now im going to have to buy some paste now aswell right?

this is turned into a giant hassle for me, i feel like i should of just bought a PC, help would be much appreciated

anybody? im thinking of going to my local PC store to buy an extention. if i end up returning something, should i give the corsair psu back or the asrock mobo back, which do you think is faulty?

forgot to mention when i replace the thermal paste which it looks like im going to have to shall i spend £14 to get a thermal paste cleaner and this cooler arctic cooler alpine 64 pro, or shall i just get a cleaner and arctic silver paste (better) for my stock cooler (worse), that way will be £10.
