Can you have 2 HDDs?

I recently built a computer using a 500gb HDD. I don't think this will be enough for the hefty 20GB+ games so will I be able to buy another HDD (1TB+) and simply install it into my desktop next to my other HDD the same way I did with my 500gb HDD and 120gb SSD? Do I need to use raid or anything or do I simply format the new drive in disk management and start installing games?

(I'm new to computers)

It works fine. RAID is for different purposes, you don't need it. Your computer should be able to handle at least six simultaneous SATA connections, maybe more.

Just plug the new disk's power and SATA cable and you are set to go.
