AMD Processors vs Intel i5 Haswell

I was orignally going to go with the Intel i5 Haswell CPU but I asked myself "Why pay this much when I can get more preformance and get a better deal". So any amd processors that is really good that is some what compariable. Also what's the latest AMD Processor Codename? Please help :)

either your going to by an 3570k/4760k for flat out performance and pay $200-240, or your going to buy the fx-6350 for $125-150. obviously the intel option is going to be faster in gaming but not by much, maybe a 10% difference at most.

Depends on what you are trying to do with the computer. I mean, I am using an old AMD X4 965BE, and that suits my needs. Whatever suits your needs is fine.

FX6350 or 8320 or 8350 are the ones you'd be looking at...

Honestly, the 6350, especially if you intend to overclock, can perform on par with the 3570k/4670k. Check out Tom's article on the K10 vs. FX architectures...the FX 6350 steals the show. It's a great buy for the money.
