Help Needed With Temperatures!

I have overclocked my i7-2700k to 4.7Ghz w/ 1.375v.
I have a h100i cooler that i put 2 noctua nf f12s on.

Stock paste with 30c ambient = 70/77c

I was told to try and lower these temperatures, so i went out and bought some thermal paste (arctic Silver 5).

Arctic Silver 5 paste with 25c ambient = 80/84c

It went up 15c... i am positive i put the right amount and seated it correctly.

Any suggestions on how i could fix this?

Sounds high, keep in mind AS requires a few days to cure, so temps will be higher initially, might want to lower the vCore

I did not spread it and i did not put too much. I applied it a second time to be sure it was not an error from me... I ran a stress test for like 4 hours and The temps only slowly rose to around 85 max 87. I put on some "DYNATRON" paste. My temps lowered back down close to the stock paste temperature hovering around 72/73 and top temp of 77... I applied them all the same way with the dot in the middle. (keep in mind 4.7 oc, with 1.375v (i7-2700k) w/ h100i). Someone please tell me why does the Arctic have suck a higher temperature over this cheap stuff.

On the website it says after the 200hour curing process it will only drop 2-5c from the initial temps. meaning it will not cover the 15+ degree increase it has initially given me.

To get temps down, could try another cleaning and re-apply the AS, even with the OC the idle still seems high, could also do a once over on the H100, there's something off somewhere

You think 70c is bad for 1.375v?

Im not really worried about the temperatures, because 70 is not a dangerous temperature. I am just wondering how the AS is 15c higher than two other pastes...

Let's backtrack, maybe I read it wrong, but you said it was running at 70+ and were told to get tempos down - I took this as Idle and agreed, it's now sounding like that's under load, if it's load, I'd say it's prob OK (would still like it lower) but if that is idle, it's to high

Perhaps you got you a bad tube of Arctic Silver? Have you tried other tubes of it?
