Headphone Jacks dont work

Using a asus a3+ motherboard, and my headphone jacks dont work. Now if I plug in my usb headphones it worked fine, but they broke and now I have no sound. I have HD AUDIO plugged into the motherboard and its checked in the bios, and ive updated the audio drivers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

does your asus motherboard use a via chipset for audio,give the name and model of that board maybe you need to install the driver for the onboard audio chipset to have sound in headphones .
