Hello! So I just got the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and wanted to Overclock my system. I should say that I set it to the standard 4.0Ghz that comes with my Asrock Z77 motherboard. Is this OK or is there something else I should be doing for safety? Thanks in advance!

I should add that I got Prime95 and RealTemp as well. Real Temp says that my computer is around 30 degrees celcius without doing anything. I think that is bad but again I'd like advice on how to do this safely!

I'm using Prime95 as well and the temp at 4.0Ghz is around 50 degrees celcius. Is that good or should I go higher?

Everything is fine as far as temperatures go.
For OCing. Just set everything back to normal. put the clocks at whichever you desire. 40 for 4.0Ghz.
Override the CPU Core voltage. Go for the lowest voltage you can.
So lets say on auto voltage @ 4.0Ghz CPU voltage stays around 1.125 , you can try to undervolt it to, lets say, 1.105 , if prime95 can run for 30mins -1 hour then stop the test, lower the voltage some more and Prime95 again.

50C is pretty good. Thats very cool. One you get into 85 and up is when you should consider better cooling. If all your doing in playing games then your temps will be fine. If your at a good OC, good voltage, and P95 runs it up to 80C you probably won't ever see it get that hot again as long as you...
