Best pump for 7/16" x 5/8" tubing? -CPU Cooling-

Solution
Tube sizing doesn't matter beyond fitting compatibility as long as its larger than 1/4" ID. Really the question you should be asking is "I have these water-blocks, what pump is best?" to which is the answer is most likely "any D5 or DDC pump".

I've heard that the waterfall method gets rid of more air bubbles. Is this true, or is it about the same as a res pump?

With that large a tubing, I'm assuming a big loop ..... ya might wanna "double pump"

Why is 7/16" x 3/8" considered "big"? The kits I've seen are all that size with smaller radiators

Yeah it is bigger but it doesn't make much of a difference in tube size it is kind of preference. Ideally 3/8 x 1/2 is used just for optimization and it is the easiest on your pump.

If you are just doing one gpu and one cpu then one D5 pump is all you would need.

If you are doing two or more gpus and one or more cpus then you will want two D5 pumps especially if you plan to overclock.

My rig right now has two 780s and a I7 4770 and I use one D5 pump and it does the job well. I don't OC my processor but my gpus every once in a while for certain physics applications. So as long your system isn't too big and you don't run it to hard go with one D5 pump but if you have a big system and want to use its power get a dual D5 pump system.

The way I have always filled my water cooling system is I find the highest point in my system where water will be and use that point to fill my system.

Waterblock is CPU 380i

From the testing I have read, sizing is irrelevant from a flow standpoint tho it does seem that the larger the loop, the larger tubing peeps use.

Personally, I prefer the look of the smaller tubing. As someone who is anal about cable routing, to my eye, the bigger tubing and all the random looking arcs obscures ya perty components and gives the build a "disorganized" look.

As for reservoir type, I'm leaning towards interior cylinder due to reports of seams separating ion glues acrylic bay types....in fact, since starting to research topic, I think I'll avoid acrylic type reservoirs all together.
