Need help finding a DVI to VGA cable on Amazon.co.uk, (URGENT)

i recently got an old monitor from a friend, and its a DVI only monitor. I cannot connect it to my MSI 7870 because that has 2 outputs, the HDMI and the VGA. My 24'' Acer is using the HDMi and i was wondering if one of you could possibly find a cable connecting the DVI of the Dell e171fp to the VGA of my graphics card.

I do not understand the like Male and Female parts of the wiring, so some guidance would be fantastic, thanks in advance.

your msi 7870 should have a dvi port on it still, every graphics card tends to come with atleast one dvi port.

also you cannot use a vga to dvi cable, they do not work that way. you cant take a vga output and put it to a dvi input on a monitor.

you can only use a dvi to vga cable on a dvi-i port on a graphics card to a vga port on a monitor.

which msi 7870 do you own?

Relax man. This should do fine for you
And between a computer and monitor you need a male-male connection.

Male = it has spikes
Female = it has holes

As to why we are asking about your card is that none of the MSI 7870 cards have a VGA connector anymore, basically only HDMI, DVI ( 1 or 2 ) and 2 mini Displayport.

And by a short googling of the monitor it is the one that only has a VGA connector. But in any case the cable i linked should do it for you.

well that blue large connector IS a dvi port.

if you check in the box that came with the card it should have a DVI-I to vga adapter with it you can use on that port since it will pass throught a VGA signal.
