I recently moved to a new address. After arriving and starting up the computer, my screen didn't work. I had to connect my monitor to the onboard graphic output instead of my usual output from my Ati Radeon Hd 4870. Then the CCC (Catalyst control center, graphics drivers for Ati Radeon Hd 4870) said that it cant find the graphics card. Dxdiag said that I used the onboard Nvidia (which is utter useless). Looking at the Radeon graphics card i can see the LED's blinking like always, as well as the fan turning.

Tried formatting the computer, tried reinstalling drivers to Radeon HD 4870, tried automatic driver install. No luck from any.

Did my Ati Radeon Hd 4870 simply just die from the transport? Is there any way to tell?

I tried re-seating the card, as well as cutting its power. I even read somewhere that resetting bios settings could help. It did not ;)

Thanks for fast response though

try using the other dvi port incase one has become damaged. usually when you use integrated graphics the discrete card will be disabled.

check that your integrated graphics are not overiding your discrete card, also try another pcie 16x slot if your motherboard has one.
