Hello,

Is it worth getting a 7.1 soundcard with this motherboard?

I will be using Platronics 7.1 surround sound headphones & apparently this MB has 7.1 HD audio...

It really depends on if you are happy with the boards output or not. Many people do not hear the difference.

If you have ever played Counter Strike - sound is the key weapon. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this motherboard & can tell me if it holds up in Counter Strike : Global Offensive.

Personally, I think it would be better to get some audio technicas or a gaming headset instead of a sound card.

I will be using Platronics 7.1 Gaming headset - so that should hold up but as im not technical in the slightest - wanted to know if it was worth getting a 7.1 sound card with it or rely on the 7.1 motherboard

If you have the money, then get it because it seems that you really want it. Personally I play FPS games, just started CS:GO, and I don't use any headsets.
