The G43 is a cheaper version of the G46, neither board will overclock well for that I recommend 990X or FX board. The GTX770 will work fine with a modern CPU.

The MSI 970-G43 (and G46) motherboards appear on a public Googledocs spreadsheet I am unable to link at work, indicating they have weak VRMs known to pop under load. Do NOT buy this motherboard, especially since AMD CPUs need to be overclocked to get closer to their true potential.
Biostar has a cheap board that is NOT known for these problems. Although I'm not normally a fan of Biostar, in this case I'd consider a much better choice than MSI. If you can afford a nicer board though, go with Asus.

The 2 best overclocking boards in a 970 model are the Asus M5A97 R2.0 and the Gigabyte 970A-UD3.

As far as if you're not overclocking...the board would work out fine if you're just going to use it at stock clocks and not do anything above and beyond that.

You'll also need a cooler for overclocking. For $65+ you can get a top air cooler, and for $85+ a good CLC model. On a budget though, I use and recommend the Xigmatek Gaia over the more-often mentioned but inferior Hyper212 EVO:

Unlike the Hyper212 EVO (ignore the URL; it IS the EVO they tested), the Gaia never throttled, although it wasn't always the coolest depending on the fan used. Both got awards, but if you factor in the price, the Gaia wins hands down.

I just told you in another thread to steer clear of this board for the same reason Onus just gave you man. But if your not convinced, good luck.....

Spend a little more and get an Asus m5a97 r2.0.

You said you needed to go cheap. That board is over 2x the cost of the Msi 970 board. You have me confused as to what your looking for now.

Save some money and get the Asus m5a99x evo r2.0 if your looking for a really good board for not to high a price now.

Like I said before any 990X or FX board would be better.
