Format did not complete

My hard drive is stuck in RAW ... this may be due to me cancelling a full format (it was going on for hours and hours) now when i go to disk management it appears as raw and when i delete volume and create a new one and format it just dissconnects the hard drive and says format did not complete , im using windows 7 . Anyone have any idea what might be wrong? the drive was ok a few weeks ago i just wanted to wipe everything off it.

it went on for hours and i had to leave the house so i had to cancel because i was leaving for a couple of days and i didnt want a house burned down when i returned. now its stuck in raw , i didnt just turn off my pc all of a sudden or anything, i pressed cancel on the format until it stopped and then shut down my pc as normal. It was obviously a full format.

HD Sentinel is really good! Easus partition manager did the job but the hard drive is having a hard time, for some reason when i copy a large folder (392gb) it just freezes after a while and i have to restart the computer
