Hai there, Iv saved up some money and I want to upgrade my PC, Its not slow as such but it could be faster :) This is my current system:

Intel Core i3 2120 3.3GHz Processor
Asus P8H61-MX R2.0 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio mATX Motherboard
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz XMS3 Memory
Asus nVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti Graphics Card
Xigmatek NRP-VC503 500W Power Supply
Sony AD-7280S-0B 24x Internal SATA DVD Multi Writer
Seagate ST500DM002 3.5 inch 500GB Hard Drive (Serial-ATA, 6Gb/s, 16Mb, 7200RPM)
CiT Vantage Type-R Gaming Case with HD Audio, 4 Fans, Card Reader
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit, English, 1 Pack, DSP OEI

I built it about 1 year ago for around £500, But now I want to upgrade alot about it, I want a new processor - maybe a i5 or i7 at a push, new graphics card. Which in turn means I will probably need a new motherboard and power supply? And I would like a sound card aswell as I have a Astro A40 Headset at the moment and the mix amp is pretty much useless with my current set up as it needs an optical port. If anybody could suggest a few new things that would be great, im willing to spend around £800, maybe more if it will be a huge upgrade.

Also I use 2 x Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Monitors that use VGA ports, but I have 1 x VGA to DVI connector.

Thanks in advance :), Oliver.

With that budget, you may as well rebuild. This should get you started. I have excluded some parts that could be re used. Also, you may want to look into grabbing a good high quality case.

Nope all you have to do is update the motherboard's BIOS to the latest available then upgrade the CPU. Your motherboard supports up to Core i7-3770K with no problem. Together you can upgrade the GPU to a HD7950 or 7970 which should boost gaming power significantly

looks like your motherboard will support the i5 no problem.your power supply is good for just about any graphics card you throw at it.gtx 670 or 770 are kickass fast but what are you using the computer for as this might be overkill.as well the 770 is almost 500$ us.dont know what prices are in the uk but hear they are pretty high.perhaps one of the video card experts can chime in on this.

The GTX 770 is ~$400 in the u.s., not 500:

Also, since that motherboard only has the H61 Chipset, then upgrading the CPU to a 3rd gen will be pointless. You would be able to OC, (even if you think you won't OC at first, it's still good to have. A good OC can hold off the need to upgrade for quite some time) and that chipset has VERY limited features, such as no SATA III, or USB 3.0, and it only has one graphics card capable PCIe slot.
