Just Installed AMD FX8350 and a new Cooler Master CPU cooler and now i get a BSOD MEMEORY Management

Hello, I am new here but i always use this site to find solutions but at this point i am getting frustrated. My problem is i just installed AMD FX8350 and a Cooler master hyper N520 cpu cooler on my computer and all the sudden im getting BSOD Memory management. Now i know that a lot of people think it is a ram issue but i cannot figure out how that is the problem i have 16g's of ram and also never had a problem prior to installing the new processor Any help would be great. i did just do disk cleanup to see if that help but in the meantime i am posting because the other BSOD posts i've read just simply do not make any sense to me. I am generally pretty good with computers. but this one is out of my ballpark.:(

The 8350s memory controller could be jacked. Set the memory speed to auto in the BIOS if you haven't already and see if that fixes it. Have you tested the RAM using memtest?

No, i have not uses memtest is that something i have to download? and also i was using coretemp to monitor the cpu and it does not go over 35c so i know its not overheating. is it possible for you to give me a link for the memtest? and i will try the BIOS

I guess the test would have had to occur with the old processor as everything was working then, correct?

Right now if you test, you could get memory errors related to the CPU's controller or the RAM itself, but you might not know. The CPU won't necessarily get hot if there are defects. It can just fail to operate in some capacity.

The other thing you could have going on is your motherboard may need a BIOS upgrade to facilitate the newer processor. Are you running the latest BIOS version?

Sometimes while installing upgrades parts can get bumped or vibrate loose.

1) Re-seat all your RAM
...if that doesn't work...
2) Remove the cooler and re-seat your CPU

Run MEMTEST overnight on stock settings for the CPU and RAM. You should get NO errors if everything is working properly.

Also, +1 for the BIOS update idea above.

Okay i did update my BIOS after i installed the processor and i checked the BIOS it is already set to Auto. So your saying put back in the old processor and run a memtest on that? or should i just run the memtest first with the new processor and then try the old? my Old CPu was a FX6100 also i forgot to note my Motherboard is a gigabyte 970 a-d3 but is the memtest something to run overnight like the other guy was saying (sorry forgot your name) or if i run it instantly it will tell me

Also just a dumb question with the memtest which one do i select to use i tried the one with the zip and after i unzip it i get nothing but an image and a boot thing but when i click on it there is nothing to run
