I need your troubleshooting help. I have a new AMD Sapphire 7790 1GB OC video card that won't display in my Gateway dx4860-ur308(i3 w/6GB mem). Card works fine in another computer. I've tried two different versions of the same card. Fans power up but no signal. I've upgraded PSU to the CoolerMaster 500W and it works fine with alternative card GeForce 8800 GTX OC. It's a PCI-E x16 slot, but I can't find info. about the version, if it is 1,2 or 3.0. Could this be the problem that the card is only compatible with PCI-E version 3.0 slots? AMD and Sapphire website don't list a version in their compatibility list. Thanks for your help!

Solution
There should be no problem with the PCI-E 3.0 compatibility, since all are backwards and forwards compatible.

Did you uninstall the Nvidia drivers? When you have the 7790 in, can you use the motherboard graphics?

Thanks - I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers.
The motherboard graphics turn off when a video card is in the PCIE slot.
No bios settings on the gateway to manually turn-off the motherboard it just happens and works great with the 8880 card. I guess I just have some incompatibility with the slot and AMD cards? I'm at a loss.
