Hello,
I'm getting bad frame stutter in nearly every game I play, and I'm not sure what to blame.
A) My low end CPU
B) My GPU
C) Ancient HDD
When playing games like CS:GO, CS:S, SF2 etc. I average 70-100 FPS on max settings (1440x900) but then I dip down into the 30s & 40s for no apparent reason. I also get really bad frame stutter from time to time.
Hardware:
Athlon II x2 270 @ 3.4GHz
4GB ADATA @ 1600MHz
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 (Catalyst Version 13.1, Driver Version 7.14.10.0911)
112GB Seagate ST312021 3AS SCSI Disk Device (SATA) (Pulled from an old compaq that has been in use since 2006)
CORSAIR CX 430 PSU
I understand my dual core CPU may not be enough to handle CSGO but it should certainly handle SF2 & CSS.
