  1. Any Phenom II is going to be the best you can get, just find the one with the best balance of power vs price, probably something like a 965, and you'll be golden.

Your motherboard supports AM3 CPUs. The fastest CPU that you can upgrade to is the Phenom II X6 1090T. For some reason it only supports up to the Phenom II X4 955 on the quad cores. You have some pretty nice options but you almost have to go on ebay to buy one. If you just absolutely do not want to go on ebay and buy a used processor then tigerdirect has a Phenom II X4 945 for $69.97. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4615717&CatId=4431 Or maybe you can't buy that because they don't ship to your country. In which case it will be extremely difficult for you to find one of these processors.
  3. Ignore my post i just read the information incorrectly on the board.

I don't know if you'll be able to do this but I was able to get a 965 to work in my AM2+ board even though it's not officially supported.

This is a pure AM2 board so I don't believe it will support anything else but that. To my knowledge there are no AM2+ CPU's. There are however only AM2+ boards that will support AM2 and AM3 CPU's.

It is an AM2+ Board (according to ASUS User guide.)
"AMD Socket AM2+ /AM2 for AMD Phenom FX / Phenom / Athlon / Semprom processors"

and there's also the ASUSTeK CPU Support ( http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/list.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=m2n68-am%20se2&p=1 )
