Hey guys, I was wondering if a stock cooler would be good enough to play BF3 with an fx 8350. I run it at the stock 4 ghz and my idle temps are about 20C. But this is when it throttles itself down to 1.4ghz on idle. On Prime 95 I hit about 65 and I stopped it early. Does anyone know if it's safe to play BF3 with the stock cooler?

Should be fine. BF3 will not max out the CPU, but I always suggest a better cooler for these AMD CPUs.

The stock cooler is enough to run anything on that processor at its stock settings. Like Novuake and rgd1101 said, it should be fine.

Yeah, I plan on getting a hyper 212 within a month until I can build my own custom loop. I won't be overclocking the 8350 with the Hyper212 either. Thanks guys!
