hey ya, i'd like to replace my boat motor sound of a case antec 1200 with something a bit more quiet. my other pc is fractial design r4 and i like it so thinking of getting that again. eventually i am going to look into watercooling for both my pcs but i dont have time for that right now hehe.

the inside is a 1st gen i7 with a moonson 3 heatsink, 295 card and a classified mobo. still a great pc and im going to keep it going till the next gen of intel comes out.

question is do you think all that can fit in that case. my other pc has the fractial(love it) and seems wide enough on my other pc but im not sure about the mobo because it's extended. i'd probably be touching hte psu

thx. i was hoping to avoid a full tower case because of how big it is and how they need more air(noise!) to cool em =p.
seen a fractal case for 120 thats full tower, might get that one.

sort of debating about just geting a min barebone kit though but i dont think it's worth 500$ for a side task pc :)

Depending on how extreme you are, you could do something like I did :p I have the HAF 932 running 12 Corsair high performance silent fans that barely make any noise. But it cost me like 400 dollars or so lol. Either way, I hope you find what you're looking for :)

12 fans is a bit extreme for me lol. honestlyl it's a good pc(can oc it to 3.8 easily) but i dont want to invest too much more into it. at best a new case and maybe water cooling is what i'd look into :). big investments and i rather just but a cheap pc that uses a lot less electric. noise pollution is my main problem with it as i want to maybe get a dual pc set up going for streaming, file server or burning dvd

If you'd like simply water cooling, look at the H series by Corsair. They have easy to setup and maintenance free water cooling systems. I have an H100 running on my i7 right now and it never pops above 40 degrees even under load.
