Hello everyone, I am clearly new to this community so please go easy on me if I have made a silly error to cause this problems.

Recently, I have purchased a new custom computer to play League of Legends, as well as a something for schoolwork. I wasn't happy with the graphics card that came with it because it gave me poor results when playing my game. By searching the forums I know listing specs is useful so i decided to post the actual pages where i bought them from in order not to miss anything.

After receiving my computer and card I installed a new os, plugged in the card, and everything worked flawlessly for about 2 weeks. Basically one time I would turn on my computer and my screen, from dell, would say something like entering power save mode, no signal from computer. This of course gave me a black screen, but the fan on the card was still running. I simply plugged the vga cord into my integrated card, went into safe mode uninstalled my drivers put the card back in and it worked. Problem solved? Nope. This trick only worked for about a day . I then woke up in the morning, turned it on, and the same problem occured.

I'm now at the point where even reinstalling windows doesn't work anymore. The fans are running and everything is plugged in and my computer exceeds the system requirements for this card. I've went into BIOS and changed my pcie slots back and forth, I got drive sweeper to clean the drives, I shut down my computer and unplugged everything and nothing works. The orignal graphics card seems to be working fine, but I think even now it has stopped working. I've look at about 30 threads on this forum which have the same problem as me, but nothing seems to help. I think the solution is really simple I just missed something really tiny and will most likely be hitting myself for it when I find out. Please, I'm desperate here! Any suggestions?

Thank you for the quick response, but i forgot to mention that the original 400w psu on the custom computer fried with the video card, so I purchased a 700w power supply and it worked perfectly fine. But then, as I stated before, the problem with the black screen still occurred. Here is the link to the psu i purchased to replace the original one that came with the computer.

if the psu fried with the original card on the motherboard could be that your pci-e slot have issue also and could be defective so try your new card in another system and if you could borrow a old card to test on your board ,you may have to get a new motherboard if the slot is defective look for any sing of burn or bubbled capacitor or parts on this motherboard use a magnifier to check .

Sorry for the late response. I was trying to get my card to work. I looked at the slots and they looked fine, and I tested an old card which seemed to work as well. I didn't test my new card, the nvidia geforce gt 630 on another computer because it started working again on my custom computer. For some odd reason if unplug my card, switch my cables around, unplug my power supply, plug everything back in the card starts working.

Basically, I have to wait a certain amount of time for my card to work. I would get it to work, go on my computer, turn it on the next morning, and it would stop working. Then I would try different methods to make it work, which I don't even if they actually work. After trying for a few hours it works and the cycle begins again. ** Everytime I set my screen input to dvi it says connect vga, then when i plug in the vga cable into my new card it says entering power save mode. But when i plug in the integrated card it works fine.**

If the fan is spinning on the card does mean it's working? Or does the fan spinning have nothing to do with how if the card is active or not? I've noticed the card stops working right after my system updates download. Maybe I should disable them to resolve the problem? Again thanks for the response, and sorry for my late response.

Edit: When the card does eventually start working i reinstall the drivers with my cd and i receive a message like could not find compatible software, or not compatible with this version of windows. I have windows 7 64-bit so thats not the problem. So, i go online and download the drivers from there and then it works fine. I'm guessing i didn't download something or set something up when installing the card. I don't know, but again im up to try anything. Thanks!

we gone check this look in the bios and see if the video settings is pci-e/igp so this select the graphic card as first video then save settings and plug your monitor to her also if you could test that graphic card in another system .
